35 Years of Helping Clients Recover

Auto Accidents - No-Fault Attorneys in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Guiding You Through Michigan's Complex No-Fault Insurance Law

Auto accidents terrify and shake your life, even minor ones. Serious car accidents cause months of recovery, permanent injuries, mountains of medical bills, and lost income. Recovering your benefits from an insurance company can be overwhelming, especially when you're struggling to recover or to care for an injured loved one.

Michigan adopted the Michigan No-Fault Automobile Insurance Act decades ago. Essentially, the Act creates two separate claims with respect to every auto accident causing serious injury or death in Michigan:

  • First-party benefits, also known as no-fault personal protection insurance (PIP) benefits: These include payment for medical expenses; patient care; lost wages; modifications to your home or vehicle; replacement services (e.g. payment for housekeeping you would have done yourself if not injured); and survivors' benefits for dependents if the auto accident resulted in death. Your auto insurance company is responsible for PIP benefits.
  • Third-party tort liability benefits: includes liability claims for non-economic (personal injury) and economic (property) damages against a driver who was at fault. The at-fault driver's insurance company is responsible for these benefits.

Our clients never anticipated their auto accidents. Muth Law helps them navigate the complex world of Michigan no-fault insurance.

Helping You Recover From Your Michigan Auto Accident

An insurance company may contact you to accept a settlement when you're most vulnerable. You need money to pay medical bills and meet expenses. However, the journey to recovery just started. The insurance company's offer will be minimal, and accepting it excludes all future benefits.

That's where Muth Law comes in. We use 35 years of auto accident experience to handle cases and successfully recover benefits for our clients.  We objectively evaluate your case, relying on our relationships with doctors, investigators, and retired police officers. These professionals assist us in gathering and preserving evidence to thoroughly prepare our cases and secure the maximum recovery possible.
