Litigation Paralegal

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan in Office

We are seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our expanding team. This role supports the attorney and head litigation paralegal in all phases of litigation, from early investigation through trial or settlement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage litigation files, including pleadings, motions, discovery, medical records, settlement packages, and correspondence.
  • Draft and edit legal documents such as complaints, answers, motions, briefs, affidavits, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Track deadlines, assist with calendaring, and maintain case timelines.
  • Prepare trial notebooks, mediation materials, deposition exhibits, and other litigation support documents.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and vendors.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare investigative summaries as needed.
  • Assist with case preparation for depositions, mediation, trial, and settlement negotiations.
  • Support intake by screening new inquiries and preparing summaries for attorney review.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred; personal injury experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of civil litigation procedures; familiarity with Michigan practice preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; case-management software experience beneficial.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and client confidentiality.

Pre-Litigation & Intake Attorney – Personal Injury

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan (hybrid available)

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney (5+ years preferred) to join our pre-litigation and intake team. This role is ideal for a strong negotiator who enjoys strategy, thrives with autonomy, and wants to directly influence case outcomes and firm growth.

As a senior member of the pre-litigation team, you will drive demand strategy, guide intake decisions, and ensure cases move efficiently through treatment, records gathering, evaluation, and negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute pre-litigation strategy, including demand preparation and negotiation with insurance adjusters.
  • Review case strength and convert qualified leads from intake into signed clients.
  • Oversee file readiness, including review of medical records, accident reports, and supporting evidence.
  • Maintain consistent and empathetic communication with clients throughout the pre-litigation process.
  • Mentor and guide intake and pre-litigation staff to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team to ensure clean handoffs and strong litigation readiness when cases escalate.
  • Support strategic growth, using your judgment to improve velocity, value, and profitability across cases.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active licensure with the State Bar of Michigan.
  • 5+ years of personal injury or negotiation-focused legal experience.
  • Demonstrated success in pre-suit strategy and settlement negotiation.
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, standards-driven environment.
  • Dedication to client service, accountability, and ethical advocacy.
